The titles of my life
daughter to some amazing parents
little sister to one I've always wanted to be like
wife to my best friend
momma to three amazing daughters, two the homemade way and one from Africa
we are brand new city dwellers in Kansas City, Missouri
lover of coffee, great conversation, a beautiful glass of wine red or white, boxed or bottled, I'm easy, accompanied by bread and cheese (plus more bread and of course butter), the theater, kids, and women
I am fluent in sarcasm and great at finding a song to go with most conversations
I love Jesus. I just do. I'm a grown up church girl who has fallen more in love with Him since the day we met. He is the lens from which I see all things. He is faithful. He is good. He is a promise keeper. I want to be like Him. I want to make Him proud.
Hi. I'm Suzanne. So why "small talk" you ask? Well, I'm not really a small talker. Actually, small talk makes me feel awkward. Sometimes when I am in the middle of small talk I often want to go, "so if you could describe your life in one emotion right now, what would that be?" You know.....just to keep the conversation rolling and not awkward at all.
Small Talk: polite conversation about unimportant or uncontroversial matters
Here in this diary you will not find polite conversation, mostly not unimportant matters, and yes, there might be some places we don't agree. And you know what? I like that. I do not want my life to be surrounded by people who think like me.
So welcome to this little space within the cyberness of the world. Welcome to this little corner where I will wrestle and dream. I so wish this could be done over some amazing food and wine but alas, we meet here. So welcome.
Welcome to the Small Talk Diary. The one diary I invite you to read.
I'm happy you're here.
