A Pictoral Blog Post

Have not updated much on our life, and we had some fun things happen in September during Media month that I haven't shared yet!  So I thought I would share with you what is happening with us through pictures!  Enjoy!

NEW YORK CITY:  We loved going with my parents!  We went to the US Open which was amazing, I saw my friends Alison and Micheal and Kate and Sydney....and we just walked the whole city!  Great trip!
Time to take the Subway into the city!!!

My cute parents

Center of the square
We loved going to the side courts and watching the juniors compete!  And we can see the great sponsor who we got our discounted tickets from!  JP Morgan!  (Insert "Ragtime" song please)

The center from above.  Check out that Leader Board!
There were tons of side courts for the Junior US Open and where everyone started their journeys!
Day One:  The morning we saw the Mixed Doubles Finals

The afternoon we saw the Men's Quarterfinals (this went on for 4 hours!)  It was incredible to watch!
And after 4 hours, here is David Ferrar dropping to the ground as it is finished and he won!  Great moment!
During the 4 hours Men's match, Dave and I snuck over to the Louis Armstrong court where the Men's Doubles Semi-Finals were happening.  Wanted to see the winners for tomorrows match.  Here are the Bryan brothers after they won!  They won gold in the Olympics too!  We were excited that we got to see them the next day!

After the match, we met up with my best friend Alison and her boyfriend Michael in Brooklyn.  We had an awesome dinner at Vinegar Hill House and then walked through Brooklyn.  And of course, Alison had to sing and dance a little....it's just who we are!

Me and my handsome man in Brooklyn (how do we get him to move here??)

Day Two:  Men's Double Finals
Here are the Bryan Brothers as they had just won!  It was great!
We then saw the two Women's Semi Finals.  We saw Shirapova lose which was sad but she gave a great fight.
Then we got to see.......

Miss Serena Williams!  It was very cool!  She is a beast on the court!

Dave loved having his ear piece to hear all of the updates as he watched!

It was definitely the best time!

DAY THREE:  We hit the streets to enjoy the city.  First we went to Ground Zero to see the Memorial which was such a mix of emotions, and then we walked our way back to the West Side, then on to Soho for a great dinner!

This plaque brought me to tears.  It was the names of all the first responders to the call!
This is called the Survivor Tree.  It was left standing amidst all the rubble.  Another storm try to take it out a few years later, but then someone nursed it back to health.  It was powerful!

We wandered back down to Soho for an awesome dinner and watched the Husker Game at the Soho Room

Yeah.....this guy is with me

We had the best time being together!
