Unchangeable

Does anyone else love sitting in their house when all the lights on the garlands and tree are lit???  Didn't think I was the only one.
Yesterday was the start of the Advent Season!  I am so excited for this time of anticipation, preparation, and peace!  Thankful for the time to reflect on what this month really means for me.  As I said in an earlier post that you can read, HERE I talked about how our family was going to add a little intention to our lives!  So last night was our first night, and that was lighting the first candle of our advent wreath.  We read about HOPE in 1 Peter 3:18.  How Christ is our HOPE for heaven!  This week I am trying to be inentional with talking about HOPE throughout the day.  The girls loved listening to the story (BSF training) and lighting the candle of course!

Speaking of BSF......I was just finishing up my lesson tonight, cozy on the couch with all the sparkle of Christmas.  I prayed before I began that the Lord would speak to my heart and that is exactly what He did!  If you read my last post then you know that the numbers didn't move any direction this month but backwards.  And that goes for all AGCI families.  ****And can I just say that the Lord TOTALLY blessed me by giving me the facebook group of AGCI Mommas??  I am able to not be so alone in this journey!****  But tonight, I read about our UNCHANGING God!  Did you know that?  Did you know that He never changes His mind?  He never lies?  He always follows through with His promises!  "God is not a man, so he does not lie.  He is not human, so he never changes his mind.  Has he ever spoken and failed to act?  Has he ever promised and not carried it through?" (Numbers 23:19).  This was my word tonight!  The Lord spoke into our lives over a year ago in regards to our 3rd child.  And I know from this scripture that when HE speaks, His actions are never far!  I am thankful for this scripture tonight, because I am reminded that the Lord I love and serve is not a man.  He is not someone who will let me down.  I may not always understand the path, but I know the path maker.  I know the path keeper.  And He is unchangeable!  Even though the world of adoption....and well.....this world in general.....IS changeable....HE never changes!  Thank you Lord for answered prayer!

  1. i found you!!! meeting your family was a special thanksgiving gift for us. i look forward to being able to connect another time. especially with BOTH of our ethiopian kiddos! many blessings to you during this advent season. thanks for the reminder to be intentional during this time of year. one year my oldest ranked our focus on jesus during christmas a "4 on a scale of 10". not what we're going for, but i am seeking a christ-centered christmas. just like a want a christ-centered every day of the year!!!
